John hesitated. “Uh…just a minute.” He said.
He stood up. “Sarah, why don’t you have my seat?”
Sarah smiled appreciatively. “Thank you,” she said.
John walked across the cafeteria and found a chair. He brought it back and added it to their table—Hailey had scooted over to make room for him.
“Sorry about that,” John said to Hailey.
“Don’t worry about it,” she said.
Was it his imagination or was her smile more sincere now? “So,” she said, “What are you doing this weekend?”
