Water

Clean water is life’s most basic necessity, yet more than 1 billion people still lack access to this simple need. Thousands die every day as a direct result of contaminated water and many women and girls walk 4+ miles per day to collect water–time that should be spent attending school or in income generating activities. Not only does clean water save lives, it makes all other necessities possible – food, education, and economic growth. Without clean water, progress is not possible.

Please join me in raising money through Family Humanitarian to fund a borehole for a rural village in Uganda. A borehole functions similar to a well, in that it allows access to water (more info here).

You can donate on the official page here, or simply Venmo @Family-Humanitarian (four-digit verification is 0152). 100% of the money you donate goes to water–zero to overhead, zero to trip expeditions–100% to water.

UPDATE - September 2023

Collectively we raised more than $25,000–enough to build water sources for more than 10,000 people. Thank you for your amazing examples in changing lives.

You can see the borehole openings (pictures and videos) here. They are so beautiful. I recommend everyone watch some of these, especially if you contributed. This is your donation in action!
