October 27-November 2: “A House unto My Name,” Doctrine and Covenants 124
My aunt, Lynne Hilton Wilson has a great video with Susan Easton Black that walks you through the background and content of this important section.
November 3-November 9: “A Voice of Gladness for the Living and the Dead,” Doctrine and Covenants 125-128

A challenging topic in these sections is plural marriage. At a minimum, I suggest you read the church’s short essays: Plural Marriage in Kirtland and Nauvoo, Plural Marriage and Families in Early Utah, and The Manifesto and the End of Plural Marriage. For more details, I’ve found this series from Church History Matters to be very helpful. If you’re looking for a good book on this topic, I recommend the book: Joseph Smith’s Polygamy: Toward a Better Understanding, by Brian and Laura Hales.
